LOS HAITISES NATIONAL PARK

We leave early in the morning in comfortable and modern buses, accompanied by an expert guide. Be sure to visit the impressive Los Haitises National Park (3600 square km). Park that constitutes a region of great environmental and recreational value, with unique geological characteristics, where its fauna and flora are represented by numerous species. It is a Caribbean oasis, home to forests, virgin mangroves, Taino cave paintings, remote beaches and pirate hideouts … The tour begins by taking the new route to the fishing village of “Sabana de la Mar”. For two and a half hours we will be able to observe the rural landscapes around the coast and the mountains until we reach the majestic “Los Haitises National Park” where we will embark a speedboat that will take us through the incredible mangroves of the area. Then we will visit an impressive natural reserve known as “La Cueva de la Línea” with incredible formations of petroglyphs of great value and of indigenous origin. This park is a reserve and sanctuary for many species of birds, fish and shellfish, some of which are endemic to the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
It is recommended to bring comfortable clothing, bathing suit and towel, sun protection, hat. Pregnant women cannot participate in this tour. Children must be accompanied by an adult./ People with heart conditions cannot participate in this tour.
